It’s just obvious that dyed hair are strongly beloved those days. We are flooded by pastel colored braid pictures, Jean Paul Gaultier turned teens into grandmas for his FW11 catwalk, Meadham Kirchhoff picked up the rainbow option for SS11… Even kids dye their hair, which means that it’s definitely cool. I first tried to remember some icons that dyed theirs, such as Kate Moss, Kurt Cobain, Enid, Jane, Clementine, Lane Kim, Charlotte Free… and then, after reading this book about blond girls in Playboy, started considering to abandon my black scalp.
The stupid thing is that I am so conditioned by my love for Asian hair that I automatically bought some extra black henna which doesn’t fit the idea at all, but the good thing is that I came up with a new battle. Rainbow, or pastels?

Il est évident que les cheveux teints ont pas mal de succès. Nous sommes inondés par des photos de tresses couleur pastel, Jean Paul Gaultier a transformé des ados en grand-mères pour son défilé automne-hiver 2011, Meadham Kirchhoff a choisi l’option arc-en-ciel pour son printemps-été 2011… Même les gamins se teignent les cheveux, ce qui confirme ce que je viens de dire. J’ai d’abord essayé de me souvenir de certaines icône étant passées par là, dans le genre de Kate Moss, Kurt Cobain, Enid, Jane, Clementine, Lane Kim, Charlotte Free… et ensuite, après avoir lu ce livre sur les blonds dans playboy, j’ai commencé à envisager le fait d’abandonner ma tignasse noire.
L’anecdote veut que, conditionnée par mon amour fou des cheveux asiatiques, j’ai machinalement acheté un henna si noir qu’il contient des reflets bleus. Rien à voir donc. La bonne nouvelle par contre, c’est que j’ai trouvé une nouvelle idée de face à face. Arc-en-ciel ou pastel?

Sympa d’avoir testé sur les chats avant de se le mettre sur la caboche… Ceci dit le rendu est d’une laideur tout à fait intéressante.
Je vais me tenter un petit panaché de rose tiens.
Tim Walker est quelqu’un d’étrange effectivement. Sinon concernant les chats : colorant alimentaire évidemment!
I love pastel, I have always loved pastel. When I was younger, people use to ask me what my favourite colour was, I’d always answer, ‘pastel’. As if that was ONE colour. I like the softness and serenity pastel colours give off.
I could have bet on it!
You know, I had pastel hair once. It was about 8 years ago. The end was purple pastel, and the roots bright blue. I wish I had pictures…
It would be perfect if I could change my hair color like I change my make up, because right now I’d like to try them all !
Also color never holds and I hate ending with pissy pink when I started and felt like bright red… 😦
So for now i’ll just let my hair be 😉
